A DIY to try! Canvas Monogram Totes
So, this weekend I had a little time to spare, and I decided to make these adorable little totes for my bridesmaids. The end result? Cute little totes for everyone!
If you’re lazy here are the directions from Under the Sycamore
Supplies: Canvas bag (I got mine from Hobby Lobby), fabric paint, paper doily, adhesive spray, and stenciled letters
Step 1: Spray doily with paper spray adhesive and press down on the bag. (Using adhesive allows the doily to stick in place while you paint, but it easily pulls off without leaving a sticky mess behind after you paint.
Step 2: Gently paint over the holes – I recommend paint meant for fabric, not crafts.
Step 3: Peel back doily before paint dries. The doily might tear, just peel off the pieces.
Step 4: Wait until the paint is dry to the touch.
Step 5: Spray the stencil with the adhesive and paint over!
Step 6: Wait until the paint is dry to the touch.
Step 7: Iron to set and ENJOY!
Let me know if you guys try this! It’s a quick, easy project!
Engaged Life

While the past few weeks have been a whirlwind, wedding planning has not only been stressful, but a blast! I am working, wedding planning, and preparing for the big move with Chris to start Law School! With everything going on in my life, it’s not wonder that I have been completely exhausted the past few weeks.
A few great things that have been finalized for our December 29, 2012 wedding:
- Venues
- Save the Dates
- Candle Lighter Dresses (Bridesmaids dresses are close)
- Photographer
- Pre-Wedding Counseling Weekend
- 3 out of the 5-6 Bridesmaids Gifts
- Disc Jockey
- Colors
- Bachelor & Bachelorette Party Destinations and Dates
I think this is fabulous. I was extremely stressed trying to find the right place to get married and what would be the best option for the reception. While originally I wanted the ceremony and reception to take place in the same venue, due to costs and the type of memories we want on our day, we will be having a church wedding!
Eek! The excitement! My next few months will FLY by fast! There are only 3 more months until I move in with my amazing, wonderful, supporter, fiancé. I cannot wait.

Life in the Wedding Planning Lane

I am sorry dear darlings, I lied. I did NOT post more.. you should be ashamed of me. I do, however, have an amazing reason – wedding planning. Not only has the date and venues been finalized, but I have a dress, my wedding party, an event planner, AND our photographer booked. We could get married now if we wanted! Any way, I haven’t been able to do much at all but plan my wedding. I thought I’d share with you some of my instagram loves over the past few weeks!
